[The People's Mario]

Wonderful

I love this flash for various reasons. The way you used the oldschool mario graphics as your background and inanimate objects was really cool, dont ask me why, but if you had drawn them it wouldn't have been that good.
The music suited the situation really well, even though it's not that enjoyable, but the reason "sound" got such a high score from me is because of the soundeffect of the Goombas corpses rolling over the floor. Amazing.
The fact that the mushroom gave him a powerboost rather than making him grow gained you points aswell. But most of all, I loved your "3D" depiction of the Mario universe. It worked surprisingly well, and, given better weapons (loved the hammer too btw) that could actually work as a game I think.

The graphics are fine, but that's not the point.

To be honest, I'm not too fond of your movies. I must admit on graphics over the years you guys improved a whole lot, and I'm really happy to see that. The voice acting was perfect, the soundquality was spotless aswell. The thing with this movie is, I dont really get the point, because it's not at all funny to me. The funniest part about Al speaking is the pigeon sound he makes intween, in such a way like he had almost forgotten to do it, that's what makes this character I think.
His ranting is kind of annoying tho, I'm not fond of his accent. Now, the humor is something that needs to be worked on, if you're making a monologue about how babies are made humor is pretty essential. I just didnt find it funny, the rambling felt incoherent, much like Grampa on the Simpsons and it wasn't really the funny type of random.
You've got all the star qualities, except for the writing, I guess.
Also, a thing that's really been bothering me lately is the fact that you use three accounts to post these things. Now you guys know as well as I that movies with multiple authors automatically get a higher score, which is fine, if not exploited. I take it you are both part of the Neptune Circle, yea? Why not just post under that account? Especially if other members of the Neptune Circle participated. However, if you two did all the work, you could just post it under your accounts, but the Neptune Circle account doesnt really need to be credited.
Well, whatever. That's just my two cents.

About the three accounts thing. I had no idea that movies with multiple accounts do better. We submit it under our personal accounts to have the movies attributed to us (so its in our list of movies since we made them) and we have a NeptuneCircle account so that all the NC movies are in one place. We both have other movies besides NC movies, and we wanted to have one account that is exclusively NC movies without having them lumped in with other stuff. And anyway, there is another person who makes music for us so if we wanted to add more accounts, we could add her too.

It was decent

Can't give you too many points unfortunately, especially due to the lack of coherence.
Seems like you've done everything frame by frame, even when not necessary, I appreciate the effort, but you should play around with flash more so you can gain some knowledge.
I appreciated the joke about the guy flexing his muscles and veins appearing everywhere, but maybe they should have appeared more random.
Cleaning up your art would be nice. Also, color couldnt hurt. And some soundeffects.
Also, get a sound editing program, because the filesize was about 10 times biggerthan necessary, I think.
But there's a lot of potential there. You could be real big.

Disappointing.

Well this had nice graphics, the soundquality was good and it was funny enough. But it was TERRIBLY off synch, which made it very annoying to watch :/.
Set your sound to stream and then synch it with the images, that should work.
I had to stop watching because I was too confused.
Sigh.
Please fix it.

[Bird Skipper (Part 1)]

Great

What I love about this toon is the great cartoony look of it, reminds me a bit of Ren & Stimpy (especially the up close details) It has excellent timing.
And the music, the music is just perfect!
Really. Not many people are capable of putting the right tunes in their cartoons. Good cartoon music doesnt distract you from the tune but follows the events perfectly.

You should have a show on TV.
I'd watch it.

Most impressive

I thought it was very funny. Great story, great jokes, great timing. The only thing that was kind disappointing was the sound. The voices could be clearer but at least they werent incomprehensible.
Great toon, if I were less lazy I'd put it in my favorites.

I remember watching this when it was new and still in the top 50. And it's still great. Probably the best thing on NewGrounds. Not humorwise or something but amazingly well made.
